Steps in Faith

There is no achieving the love of God, without first the fear of God. Last Sunday’s readings emphasized this point clearly: Pauline - 1 Cor 5:11-6:11; Catholic - 2 Pet 3:14-18; Acts - Acts 9:3-9; Gospel - Jn 6:22-27. The Gospel is of the multitude seeking Jesus after they ate and were filled. In light of the other readings, the Gospel encourages us to progress in our spiritual lives. Our spiritual lives, through the Holy Spirit, can transform us from a life of sin to a life of holiness.
