Joy of being Found

Last Sunday’s Gospel reading was about the Lost Son or the Prodigal Son (Lk 15:11-32). This chapter of Luke 15 began with the Pharisees complaining about Christ and saying, “This Man receives sinners and eats with them.” He spoke to them about three parables: the Lost Sheep, the Lost Coin, and the Lost Son. In every case, a party was thrown expressing the joy of the find. We need to regain that joy over being found, recognizing that we were lost and found by Christ. We need to regain the joy of being in the Father’s house. May we always be there and at home.
